Louise D. Carroll

A graveside service for Louise D. Carroll, 106, of Newark, formerly of Granville, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville with the Rev. Dr. Kathy Fuson-Hurt officiating.
Louise passed away Wednesday at Arlington Health Care Center in Newark. She was born Jan. 23, 1902 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the late Arthur C. and Frances (Slaughter) Darrow.
Mrs. Carroll was a retired library clerk at the Main Branch of the Newark Public Library. She also worked on the Bookmobile. Louise attended Rockford College in Rockford, Ill. and was a graduate of Denison Universtiy. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and First Baptist Church in Granville.
Surviving are her sister, Ruth Jensen of St. Louis, Mo; sisters-in-law, Margaret Darrow of Goose Creek, SC, and Mary Darrow of California; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Frederich Carroll who died in 1932; two brothers and four sisters.
