Meg passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Homer, New York to the late William and Claire Rice.
After graduating from Arnot Ogden in Elmira, New York, Meg was employed as a registered nurse at State University Hospital in Syracuse, NY, where she met her future husband John L. Adams.
Meg was a member of TWIG #14 and Twentieth Century Flyers. She was an avid reader and talented crafter, particularly in scrapbooking and knitting. Additionally, she enjoyed camping, traveling, bowling, and gardening. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Grandchildren were cherished by Meg, and she was steadfast in passing along the art of pie making, sharing s’mores, and creating memories with them. She wanted to share life experiences like she had with her own grandmother. She was looking forward to the promotion of her son Michael to full colonel in August.

Michael C. and Thomasina Adams; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Stephane Murphy, and Mary and Anselmo Morales; grandchildren, William and Olivia Adams, Sean, Jack and James Murphy, and Maria, Esperanza, Anselmo, and Enrico Morales; sisters and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Gary Sweeney, and Barbara McGiffin; and nieces and nephews, Monica Sweeney, Mason Sweeney (fiance Mercedes), Kimberly (Aaron) Jackson.
