Marguerite H. Snyder

April 9, 1913 — July 19, 2010

A funeral service celebrating the life of Marguerite H. Snyder will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at the McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect Street, Granville with the Rev. Thom Lamb officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.

Marguerite died Monday, July 19, 2010 at SharonBrooke in Newark. She was born April 9, 1913 in Newark to the late Hazel Embrey and Otto Heft.

Mrs. Snyder was the co-owner of the Granville Letter Shop and Granville Booster, which she and her late husband Clark L. Snyder founded in the mid 1950's.

Marguerite was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Granville where she was active in Circle. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Grange, O.S.U. Extension Service and Bridge Club, one of her favorite activities.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, George and Cari Snyder of Lake Worth, FL, James and Diane Snyder of Granville, and David and Renee Snyder of San Marcos, CA; grandchildren, Raymond, Richard, Lisa, Amy, Emily, and Daniel; great-grandson, Benjamin; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and James Siegel of Granville and many nieces and a nephew.

In addition to her parents and husband Clark, Marguerite was preceded in death by one sister, Arabelle Reynolds.
