A funeral service for Marilyn Jean Bosscawen, 66, of Newark, formerly of Granville, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at McPeek Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville, with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.
Jean, a devoted mother and grandmother, died June 12, 2008, at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born Jan.4, 1942, in Granville to the late Bob and Marg (Luce) Moore.
Jean was a cheerleader and 1959 graduate of Granville High School. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her cat, Princess. Jean also loved vacationing at Sanibel Island, FL.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Marie Bosscawen of Raleigh, NC, Randy and Vicki Bosscawen of Lithopolis, and Rod Bosscawen of Charlotte, NC; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Brian Parsell of Centerburg, Cheri and Richard Gregory of Newark, and Debbie Shelley of Columbus; brothers and sister-in-law, Denny and Brenda Moore of Jupiter, Fla., and Russ Moore of Newark; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Frederick Dale Bosscawen, who died Aug. 18, 2000.
