Marion D. Wetzel

A private graveside service will be held in Ashton, Illinois for Marion D. Wetzel, 92, of Granville. Marian died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Kendal at Granville. She was born September 11, 1919 in Rochelle, IL to the late Frederick M. and Stella M. Slaughter.
A mathematics professor, Marion retired in 1986 from Denison University. She earned her undergraduate degree at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa and her Masters and PhD. in mathematics from Northwestern University in Chicago.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
