Mary E. Decker, 68, of Kansas City MO passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, OH. She was born and raised in Kansas City, by the late Lloyd E, and Doris A. Stanton.
Mary attended Westport High School in Kansas City, MO and was a retired aide at the Fulton State Hospital. She was a dog lover, an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Surviving are her son, Randall E. Decker of Englewood, CO; daughters, Theresa L. (Jeffrey) Vissers of Tucson, AZ, and Melissa K. (David) Tremel of Newark, OH; grandchildren, Cameron and Katelynn Vissers, Amanda and Abigail Tremel, and Ashlyn Decker; brother, Lloyd E. Stanton, Jr. (Sharon) of Klamath Falls, OR; sisters, Patricia Pratt of Raytown, MO, Carol Guenther of Kansas City, KS, Janice (Jerry) Cannady of Heritage, MO, and Sheryl (Timothy) Horgan of Bailey, CO.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Glenn W. Fox, who died in 1999, and Edgar E. Decker who died in 2006.
Mary will be cremated in Newark, OH. A memorial service will be held at a later date for her family in Kansas City, MO. Contributions in her memory may be made to the National Federation of the Blind, 200 E. Wells St., at Jernigan Place, Baltimore, MD 21230 or online at www.nfb.org/donate.
