Mary Helen Dodsworth

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mary Helen Dodsworth, 64, of Newark, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Highwater Congregational Church, 1213 Dutch Lane NW, Newark with the Rev. Ed Lopeman officiating. Burial will follow at Fredonia Cemetery.

Mary died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Harlan K. and Alice (Morris) Dodsworth.

Mary attended the McKean Grade School and graduated from Utica High School in 1966. She was a member of Highwater Congregational U.C.C. where she enjoyed knitting items for the church.

A former employee of Licking Memorial Hospital Print Shop, Mary worked for Timbuk Farm from 1978 to 2002, then Timbuk II most recently.

Surviving are her brother, Wesley M. Dodsworth of Newark; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly L. and Thomas Quinn of Tunkhannock, PA; nieces; nephews; and many caring and loving cousins.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one sister, Alma A. Dodsworth, who died April 11, 1996.
