Mary Jayne Pratt

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mary Jayne Pratt, 91, of Newark will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 30, 2015 at Centenary United Methodist Church, 102 E. Broadway, Granville with Rev. Stephen J. Cramer as celebrant. Burial will follow at Fredonia Cemetery.

Mary Jayne passed away March 25, 2015 at her home. She was born in McKean Township in 1923 to the late Carlos and Lucille Davies Neldon and graduated from Granville High School in 1941.

Mary Jayne was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and participated in the Women's Society, Morning Glory Circle, and United Methodist Women. She volunteered with Twig #13, the Davis Shai House and Meals on Wheels. Visiting, baking, volunteering, and caring for others were principal in her life. She will be remembered as a loving and fun aunt.

Surviving are her nieces and nephews; Ron Acord, John and Sandy Brenner, Carol and Clayton Worsdell, Sharon and Larry Wiggs, Bobbie Holmes, and Howard and Susan Pratt; many great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews; God children, Kelly, Cindy, and Ronnie Acord; and special friend Connie Salsberry.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jayne was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edwin E. Pratt; niece, Ann Acord; nephew, Rick Holmes; and sisters-in-law, Betty Roach, Wilma Dale Pratt, Thressa Hendricks, and Dorothy Pratt.
