Mary Witherell Trevor, age 84, born in Galesburg, Illinois, died May 22, 2023 in Granville, OH. Mary graduated from the Putney School in Vermont, attended Radcliffe College, attended the Curtis Institute of Music, and graduated from Cleveland State University. She was a professional  harpist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Hartford Symphony, and the Hartford Harp Trio. She also played the harp and shared the stage with her husband, Max Rabinovitsj at the Naples Community Orchestra. Mary was the President of the Women’s Committee of the Cleveland Orchestra. She loved going to concerts and visiting museums. Mary enjoyed traveling the world with Max and shared their traveling adventures to the United Kingdom, Portugal, and Italy with members of her family. She enjoyed summers at Lakeside, spending time with her family, and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife. Mary was loved by both her family and Max’s family and loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Max Rabinovitsj, son John Hoffman (m. Blanca Hoffman), daughter Ann Kete (m. Florian Kete), grandchildren David Kete (m. Joy Kete), Madeleine Nohren (m. Trent Nohren), Emma Kete, Christopher Hoffman and great-grandson Joseph Kete.  There will be a memorial service at Otterbein Senior Living Center in Granville, OH on Saturday, May 27th at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Mary Trevor Sunday Chamber Music Series at Otterbein Senior Living Center or Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation, in memory of Mary Trevor.
