Mary Lou Wolfe

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mary Lou Wolfe, 77, of Granville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at the McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect Street, Granville with the Rev. Stephen J. Cramer officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.

Mary Lou died Monday, May 17, 2010, at her home. She was born in Granville September 9, 1932 to the late Imo Louella Priest and Harvey Williams.

A retired administrator for Licking County Job and Family Services, Mary Lou was a 1950 graduate of Granville High School. She was also a graduate of Central Ohio Technical College where she earned a degree in Business Administration.

A member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Mary Lou did not know a stranger. It seemed that everyone knew her no matter where she would go. She enjoyed helping people for many years through her employment in Licking County. Her time spent with the special ladies and their trips to Florida will be fondly remembered.

Surviving are her children, Paula Gayle and Dave Nicholas of Falls Church, Virginia, Jeffrey Lee Steele, John Patrick Steele of Granville, Michael Ray Steele, Kristle and Don Glover of Heath , and Lisa Kay Wolfe and Mike Rickards of Newark; grandchildren, Heather, Megan, James, Andrew, Nikki, Jonathan, and Emily; great grandchildren, Joey, Raven, and Ryder; brothers and sister-in-law, Harvey and Wanda Williams of Heath and Leland Williams of Allen Park, Michigan.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Raymond Steele; her second husband, Bradley Ellis Wolfe and two grandchildren, Jessie and Shannon.
