Mary Patricia Young

Mary Patricia C Young (94), passed away April 22, 2021.  Pat was born and raised in Galesburg, IL, the only child of George H and Mary G Foley Campbell.

After graduating from Clarke University, Dubuque IA, Pat moved to Chicago to pursue her career in dietetics.  There she met and married her husband, Beman.  Moving briefly to Pierre, SD where their son Tim was born, and to Evanston, IL where their daughter Teresa was born, Pat and Beman and family then moved to Indianapolis in the mid-1950s.  Pat was a longtime member and volunteer at St. Matthews Catholic Church and School.  In later years she enjoyed the many friends she met and re-acquainted with at Marquette.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Beman Dawes Young. Surviving are her son Timothy C Young; daughter, Teresa A Young; granddaughter, Amanda (Christopher) Jones; grandson, Timothy M Young; and four great-grandsons, Blake, Mason, and Cole Jones, and Elija Young.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 28, at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, Granville. OH, with visitation at the church one hour prior.  Burial will follow at the Dawes Arboretum, Newark, OH.
