Megan Day Boltres

June 21, 1967 — December 5, 2008

A memorial service for Margaret "Megan" Day Boltres, 41, of Utica will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2008, at Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. NE., Warren, with Rector Donna Maree officiating.

Megan died Friday, December 5, 2008, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus due to an automobile accident.  She was born June 21, 1967, in Cleveland to Peter C. and Linda (Beers) Day.

A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Megan furthered her education at The Ohio State University where she studied landscape architecture and was on the equestrian team. The love of horses and animals continued throughout her life.

Megan was employed at Aetna as a Market Aligned Project Lead in claims. Her work with the Michigan providers earned her a Gold Aetna Way Excellence Award. She was a member of the Aetna Women's Network and Outdoor Woman through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Megan will fondly be remembered for her desire to help others and her ability to touch lives. Her love of the outdoors, gardening, and animals grew from childhood because of the time spent with her family at the lake and camping in the Adirondack Mountains. She also enjoyed horseback riding.

In addition to her parents, surviving are her husband, T. Scott Boltres of Utica; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Nikki Day of Warren; mother-in-law, Judy Ringer of Canton; three brothers-in-law; and her two faithful canine companions, "Rusty" and "Bristle".

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the McPeek Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville.   Visit www.mcpeekfuneralhome.com to sign an online guest book or send condolences.

Memorial contributions may be made to Autumn Rose Farm, 7540 Hyland-Croy Road, Plain City, Ohio 43064 for the benefit of teaching horseback riding to children with special needs.
