Michele Nieves

Michele Nieves, 52, of Pataskala, beloved daughter, mother, and sister, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. She was born in Manhattan, New York and raised in the Bronx to Maria and Angelo Nieves.

A few of Michele’s passions were working on puzzles, shopping, politics and social media. She was a patriotic woman and a retired emergency medical services professional who worked with the FDNY. She was a member of the group “Regulators” where she was known as “that girl from the Bronx” and the NRA. Michele will be remembered for her love of family, caring for others, and her willingness to help anyone in need.

In addition to her mother, surviving are her children, Steven Nieves, Teresa Rodriguez, and Melanie Nieves; grandchildren, Luciano and Francesca Rodriguez; siblings, Frances Nieves, Melissa Ferrell, and Lionel Mendez.

Preceding Michele in death are her two siblings, Michael Nieves and Madeline Sheppard.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 29, 2021 from 5-7 P.M. at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mcpeekhoekstra.com.
