Nancy J. Wince

A graveside service for Nancy J. Wince, 72, of Chapel Grove in Heath, formerly of Granville, will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating.

Nancy died Monday, Jan.12, 2009, at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. She was born Jan. 9, 1937, in Lancaster, to the late Mary (Galleher) and Marvin "Jack" Mount.

Nancy was a retired telephone operator for Denison University. She was a 1955 graduate of Newark High School and attended Ohio University.

Following her husband's death, she continued his trustee position of the Hubert and Oese Robinson Foundation, the Granville Life-Style Museum, and retired in 2008. A member of the First Baptist Church in Granville, Nancy was a former volunteer for Hospice of Central Ohio. She was an avid tole painter and loved to play bridge.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth M. and Clinton C. Perkins of Johnstown; son, Edward H. Wince; sisters and brother-in-law, Sharon Grandstaff of Heath, and Wendy and Conway Dudte of Ocean Springs, MS; two grandchildren, Kaylee and Michael Perkins; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Donald R. Houk of Newark.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Glen E. Wince, who died Oct. 31, 1992, and one brother-in-law, Douglas Grandstaff.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday at the McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville.
