Patrick M Robb

A funeral service for Patrick M. Robb, 82, of Granville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Spring Hills Baptist Church, with Pastor Tom Pound officiating.  Family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the church, 1820 Newark-Granville Rd. Granville, OH 43023. A private graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville with military honors rendered by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Patrick passed away November 29, 2021 at his home in Granville.  He was born in Newark, Ohio to the late Walter Robb Sr. and Dorothy (Proctor) Robb.

He is survived by his wife Frances (Row) Robb; daughters Kathy (Tom) Howell, Laurie (John) Pitcock, Julie (Scott) Dickerson, and Mendy (Clyde) McIntire, all of Granville; twelve grandchildren:  Patrick (Emma) Howell, Meghan Howell, Jennifer (Jonathan) Recko, Austin Pitcock (Mary Adeline Lewis), Abbey (Trevor) Steyn, Emily, Ryan, and Tyler Dickerson, Elias, Isabelle, Caroline, and Annaleigh McIntire; and brother, Jeffery (Becky) Robb. In addition, he is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Gage, brothers Walter Robb II and Joseph Robb, and beloved dog, Lucy.

Patrick attended Granville High School.  At the age of sixteen he enlisted in the United States Navy where he was stationed at the Pentagon and completed his education.  After leaving the Navy, he worked for Nationwide and State Farm Insurance.  He then joined his father and brothers at Proctor Robb and Company, where he traveled all around the state of Ohio as a bank auditor and enjoyed getting to be a part of many small towns and communities.

Patrick had a tremendous work ethic and enjoyed the simple things in life including working in his woodshop, plowing snow, cutting firewood and mowing grass.  His engineer mindset and talents allowed him the ability to fix most anything for family, friends and neighbors as well as to build two family homes.  He had a deep appreciation and respect for nature and a quiet love for people.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spring Hills Baptist Church where Patrick was a member for over twenty-five years.
