Polly Elam Kozacka

A celebration of life for Polly Elam Raith Kozacka, of Granville, will be held October 8, 2011 at 2pm at Kendal, 2158 Columbus Road, Granville, Ohio with Rev. Karen Chakoian officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following.

Polly passed away peacefully September 17, 2011 at Kendal in Granville, Ohio. She was born in Greenfield, Tennessee on September 30, 1922 to the late Anna (nee House) and Ray Elam. A member of First Presbyterian Church, Polly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching birds and flowers, playing bridge, reading, doing handwork, and helping others any way she could lend assistance.

Surviving are her daughters and son-in-laws, Elizabeth and Gary Yaekle of Granville and Nancy and Rick Konecki of Grapevine, Texas; step-daughters and son-in-laws, Judy and Lee Wildhaber of Grand Junction, Colorado and Susan and Nayef Ali of Chicago, Illinois; one sister, Jane Ershen of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Mike and Bryan Hulse, Megan Ali, and Dani Konecki; great grandchildren, Andrew and Jared, and Benjamin Hulse.

In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her first husband William G. Raith, Jr. who died November 20, 1985 and her second husband Richard J. Kozacka who died March 1, 2010; brother, Jack Elam; sisters, Elizabeth Tilghman and Ruth Graves; and grandson Todd Engelhardt.
