Richard J. Kozacka

Richard J Kozacka, long time resident of St Louis, passed away on March 1, 2010 in Granville, Ohio at the age of 91.
Surviving are his wife Polly; daughter, Janina Kozacka (Pat Giarritano); brother, Arthur Kozacka; step-daughters, Nancy (Rick) Konecki and Elizabeth (Gary) Yaekle and step-granddaughter, Danielle Konecki.
Born in Detroit and raised in Western PA and Chicago, Richard earned a BS in Chemical Engineering in 1940 from the University of Michigan. He spent his entire 42 year engineering career with Monsanto Company in St Louis and Boston, and was a Fellow of the AIChE.
As a world traveler he enjoyed sharing photographs of his expeditions to China, Africa and Antarctica. Richard encouraged the study of science and was a long time supporter of the St Louis Science Center and member of University Club.
Preceding him in death are his first wife Dolores and son Wayne R. Kozacka.
