Robert A. Ramsay

Robert A. Ramsay, age 68, passed away at his home February 7, 2022. He was born in Newark to the late Thomas A. and JoAnne Inez Ramsay and was a fourth generation Ramsay in Granville. Bob lived adjacent to the home built by his great grandfather on North Pearl Street. He was proud of his Granville heritage and the history of his hometown.  Bob graduated from Granville High School with the class of 1972.

Bob retired from Kaiser Aluminum where he was a clerk in the Maintenance Department. He was an eclectic reader. He enjoyed birding, gardening, vacationing in Key West, and adopting rescue dogs. He loved motorcycle riding and was a life-time member of the American Motorcycle Association. He’d often ride alone returning with Bonnie to share the places he discovered. He devoted himself to things that piqued his interest and loved sharing that knowledge with others.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie; siblings, Paul and Connie Ramsay, and Colette and Bernard Goodin; nieces, nephews, and canine companion, Trixie.

At Bob’s request no services will be held at this time.  There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 3 - 5 pm at McPeek Lodge in Granville.
