Robert T. Westbrook

A funeral service celebrating the life of Robert T. "Bob" Westbrook, 75 of Newark, formerly Granville will be held Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, 1000 Granville Road, Newark with Pastor Jim Addy as celebrant.

Bob, a retiree from Lucent Technologies after 41 years of service, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. He was born May 26, 1939 to the late Charles E. and Alice Pauline (Taylor) Westbrook.

Bob was a 1958 graduate from Granville High School and a very active member of First Baptist Church in Newark. He enjoyed yard work, was an avid reader, and delighted in helping others. Being of soft-spoken nature and tender heartedness, Bob was as an amazing husband, father, brother and friend, and will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Connie S. (Welch) Westbrook of Newark; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael R. and Christine Westbrook, and Brian C. and Christy Westbrook all of Newark; and sister, Connie J. Westbrook of Granville.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Betty Welch.
