Robert L. Woodruff, Jr.

A fun, kind, and fair man, with a wonderful sense of humor, Robert L. Woodruff, Jr. passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at Kendal at Granville at the age of 91. He was born in New York, New York to the late Robert L. and Marion Woodruff.

A Navy veteran who served in Korea, Robert was a Harvard graduate and retired from R.G. Barry Corporation where he was Vice President of Human Resources. He enjoyed wood working, gardening, and the outdoors, camping and hiking throughout the United States.  He was also very involved in the community through Rotary International and Habitat for Humanity.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Margaret L. Woodruff; son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. Woodruff III and Debra Hunt; and grandchildren, Susan L. Plows and her husband Sean and Robert L. Woodruff, IV.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Mark Woodruff who died in 2017.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
