Rosalie E. Pisano

Funeral services for Rosalie Elizabeth Pisano, 92, of Heath, formerly of Camp Hill and the Shipoke neighborhood of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania will be conducted by the Gilbert L. Dailey Funeral Home in Harrisburg. There will be no local services.

Rosalie passed away Friday morning, January 4, 2013 at Chapel Grove Inn, Heath. She was born in Mammola, Italy and immigrated to the United States as a young girl. She graduated from John Harris High School and retired from her position working for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation at age 72. She will be best remembered for her love of opera, her exquisite culinary skills, and her devotion to family. In retirement, she did volunteer work delivering flowers to patients at the Harrisburg Hospital.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her loving husband Vincent (Jimmy) Pisano who owned a barbershop for many years on Market Street in Harrisburg.

Surviving are her six children and four grandchildren: sons, Dominick of Alexandria, VA, Vincent of Chappaqua, NY, Joseph of Pittsburg, and Robert of Granville; daughters, Maria Stella of Reston, VA and Concetta of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Elinor Pisano, M.D. of Washington, Anthony Pisano, Esq. of Pittsburgh, Dominic Pisano, M.D. of Boston, and David of Tokyo, Japan.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM in the Dailey Funeral Home, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM in The Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick, Harrisburg. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
