Ruth E. Schluchter

Ruth E. Schluchter, 94, of Granville, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newark, OH. She was born December 13, 1918 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late John E. and Edna H. (Mallender) McCormick.
In addition to being a homemaker, Ruth was employed as a secretary in a law firm in Youngstown, OH and also worked for Argon National Laboratory CP5 reactor in the field of biological nuclear studies outside of Chicago.
Ruth will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother, having family celebrations, and many close personal friends. She always maintained a Christian home. She enjoyed golfing and was an avid bridge player.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, James C. and Peggy Schluchter of Granville and John A. Schluchter and Chae McIntyre of Denver, Colorado; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Orville C. Schluchter and one sister, June Jeremy.
