Ruth J. Weaver

Ruth Janice Weaver, age 87, of Granville, Ohio peacefully passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Middleton Retirement Center. She was born on August 11, 1932, in Reynoldsburg, OH to the late Fredrick and Blanche Morris. She graduated from Reynoldsburg HS in 1950 and was a long time resident of Granville.

Ruth worked at Denison University, in the Admissions Office and retired from Bricker & Eckler Law Firm, and Kendal of Granville. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. More than anything she loved spending time with her family. She loved living in Granville and loved walking in and out of this beautiful village. She loved puzzles and knitting. She was a dedicated Buckeye fan, loved the OSU Marching Band and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Granville.

Survived by sons, Jack (Terri) Weaver, James (Cassie) Weaver, William C. Weaver; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda   (Weaver) and Lynn Daft; grandchildren, Kate (Steven) Wollenberg, William Weaver, Michael Weaver, Jessica Weaver; step-grandchildren Logan (Olivia) Boucher, Dalton Boucher; great-grandchildren, Corey, Carly, Cooper, and Greyson.

A Memorial Service is planned for November 9, 2019, at The First Presbyterian Church in Granville, Ohio at 2pm to gather with family and friends to celebrate Ruth’s life. A private burial at Welsh Hills Cemetery preceding the Memorial.

The Family is profoundly grateful for the support, care, and love extended to Ruth and the Family in her last month on this earth by the staff and Nurses at Hospice of Central Ohio and the Staff at Middleton. They took great care and love to help Ruth on her journey to eternal peace, and extended such love and support to the family – Thank You.
