Ruth "Georgia" Mckee

A memorial service celebrating the life of Ruth “Georgia” McKee, 79, of Granville, will be held at Noon Friday, April 7, 2017 at Jersey Baptist Church, 13260 Morse Rd, Pataskala with Pastor Phil Duncan as celebrant. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. A private family graveside will be held at Mt Vernon Memorial Gardens.

A retired business analyst with Chase, Georgia passed away April 2, 2017 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Lewis H. and Ilo Ruth (Cottrell) McKee.

Georgia was a member of Jersey Baptist Church and was a person of prayer and considered it a privilege to pray for the needs of others. Her faith and love in Jesus Christ her Savior was at the center of her life followed only by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of family, including her grandchildren and great grandson.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Randy Hansen; grandchildren, Ashley (Hansen) Fickel and her husband Tyler, Justin Hansen, Mayleea Hansen, Eliana Hansen, and Chloe Hansen; great grandson, Silas Fickel; and sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Tom Shaw.

In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her son, Michael Scott Shelor who died in 2012.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be cherished to a ministry Georgia supported - Living Water of Ohio at P.O. Box 413, Alexandria, OH  43001.
