Sharon A. Brubaker

A funeral service for Sharon A. Brubaker, 37, of Johns Creek, GA, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Centenary United Methodist Church, 102 E. Broadway, Granville, with the Rev. Stephen J. Cramer officiating. A private graveside service will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.

Sharon passed away Friday, April 25, 2008, at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, GA. She was born August 12, 1970, in Manassas, VA, to Thomas J. and Mary (Varga) Flynn of Austin, TX.

After graduating from Westwood High School in Austin, TX, Sharon earned her Bachelors degree from the University of Texas. She worked with her husband as a business partner in Genox Inc. and NetPhyscian, Inc.

A loving and devoted wife, Sharon was a member of First Redeemer Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. She enjoyed boating and reading and loved animals. She will fondly be remembered as a "people-person," always easy to get along with and a pleasure to be around.

In addition to her parents, surviving are her husband, Richard Lance Brubaker of Johns Creek, GA, whom she married May 27, 2000; sisters, Regina (Ted) Veino and Linda Flynn both of Austin, TX; brother, Thomas Flynn of Austin, TX; mother-in-law, Carolyn Brubaker of Granville; brothers-in-law, Todd (Julie) Brubaker of New Albany and Randy Brubaker of Columbus; sister-in-law, Shelley (Charles) Knoedler of Raleigh, NC, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her father-in-law, Chadwick D. Brubaker.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. in Shepherd Hall at the Church.

Arrangements are in the care of McPeek Funeral Home, Granville.
