Sidney S. Lantz

Sidney S. Lantz, 77, of Granville, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Arlington Care Center in Newark.  He was born in 1940 in Granville, OH to the late Wayne and Bright Lantz.

A 1958 graduate of Granville High School, Sid worked construction as a welder with H.C. Attebery Co. and Jack Feid Construction.  Sid was a family man remembered by those closest to him as being ornery and quite the character.  He enjoyed bonfires, long walks, fishing, and hunting on his property.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Robin (Philipps) Lantz; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Lauralee Lantz, and Christopher Lantz and Tamara McBroom; grandchildren, Katarina Lantz, and Erica (Donald) Sheppard; great granddaughter, Julie  Fields; brothers, John, and James (Maxine) Lantz; and sisters, Emma Lou Wygle, Jane Davis, and Judy (William) Holtzclaw.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 12, 2018 from 5 to 7 P.M. at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St. in Granville.  Services are private.
