Stephen Gary Rucker Sr.

Mr. Stephen Gary Rucker Sr. passed away surrounded by his loving wife and the people who love him the most peacefully on November 16, 2023.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Rita Ann Rucker, and his children, Vicki Lynn Rucker, Brenda Kay Rucker, Stepahanie Kim Winters, and Stephen Gary Rucker Jr. His grandchildren Lindsay Rucker, Christopher Lombardo, Aaron Lombardo, Cheyanna Emmerson, and Zachary Rucker. His Great Grandchildren Destiny Shumway, Nolan Lombardo, and Reese Lombardo. His siblings Richard Rucker, Noel Rucker, Starley Cannon, and Jeff Rucker.

Gary was a loving and devoted family man whose family always came first.

He worked for the Dow Chemical Company for 32 years as a research specialist and retired in May of 1993. He was an extremely hard-working man who always went the extra mile to provide for his family and always made sure they had the comforts and luxuries they deserved.

Garys hobbies included fishing, boating, tinkering in his garage, finding and negotiating a great bargain, designing and building his beautiful houses, and spending quality time with his friends and loved ones.

He will be greatly missed and is still so very loved by his family and friends wholeheartedly.

Gary really was one of a kind and we are all blessed to have had him as part of our lives.

A celebration of life service will begin at 7 PM, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at McPeek Hoekstra Hoskinson Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect Street, Granville, Ohio 43023 where a gathering of family and friends will be held 1 hour prior from 6-7 PM Wednesday.
