Suzanne L. Wiget

A graveside service for Suzanne Lorena Philipps Wiget, 70, of Newark will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Welsh Hills Cemetery in Granville with Rev. Stephen J. Cramer officiating.

A direct descendant of Thomas Philipps and Theophilus Rees who settled the Welsh Hills in 1803, Suzanne passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Cincinnati Hospice East. She was born August 28, 1942 in Newark to the late Samuel D. and Helen O. (Hartman) Philipps.

Suzanne was a 1960 graduate of Granville High School and attended Ohio University. She was employed at the Newark Air Force Base and recently retired from Consumer Support Service where she had been a manager for 16 years. She will be remembered as a loving mother.

Surviving are her son, Terry Wiget of Cincinnati and his fiancAC., Tammy Douglas and children of Kentucky; daughter, Lisa Wiget of Columbus; brother, Warren (Cheryl) Philipps of Georgia; sister, Jennifer (James) Welsh of Granville; 10 nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; aunts uncles; and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Dee Philipps McClain; and brother, Andy Philipps.
