Thomas "Tom" D. Sargent

A private graveside service will be held for Thomas D. Sargent, 63, of Newark.
Tom died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio in Newark. He was born August 7, 1948 to the late Harold and Dora (Johnson) Sargent.
A Granville High School graduate, Tom worked for the Granville School System for 20 years before recently retiring from Goodwill Industries.
Surviving are his brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Penny Sargent, and Wes and Donna Sargent both of Granville; nephews, Eric Sargent, Kevin Sargent, Michael Sargent, and Thad and his wife, Jennifer, Sargent; niece and her husband, Stacy and Chad Schroeder; and great-nieces and nephews, Jacob, Danielle, and Nicole.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Humphrey; sister, Joyce Sargent, and brother, Dennis Sargent.
