A memorial service celebrating the life of Thomas W. Toothman, formerly of Granville, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church, 110 W. Broadway, Granville with Rev. Karen J. Chakoian as celebrant. A private graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Retired from EBCO as an industrial engineer, Tom was born in Newark, Ohio to the late Robert L. and Doris J. Toothman. He passed away February 11, 2022 at Licking Memorial Hospital at the age of 80.

An Army veteran, Tom graduated from Newark High School. He would later enjoy a second career there serving as a bus driver. When not working, Tom enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and fishing with fervor. He loved a good O.S.U. game, was an avid sports fan, a movie fanatic, strong willed, yet was young at heart, also known as, “Rubber Legs”,  from his many years of roller skating. Tom was a fun photographer and squirrel hunter that also loved country music and mowing grass at Bryn Du.  At Church,Tom was active in PRISM Sunday School and started the men’s corner table during fellowship and was instrumental in starting a local Marfan Syndrome support group. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and good nature.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his first wife, Pat, who died in 2000.

Surviving are his wife of 20 years this coming October, Jackie; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Stephanie Toothman, Aaron and Susan Toothman, Lance Dildine, Trevor Dildine, and Cabot and Catherine Dison; grandchildren, Jarrett, Gage, Alex, and Carina Dison.
