Thomas "Tim" J. Miley Jr.

Thomas “Tim” J. Miley Jr., age 77, of Pataskala, formerly of Granville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital.

He was born March 1, 1946, in Granville to the late Thomas J. and Laura (Warnock) Miley Sr.

After graduating from Granville High School, he studied for a year and a half at OSU-Newark and attended 3 years of technical school in Columbus.

Tim worked for Holophane for more than 30 years, beginning as a draftsman in product design, and ended his career in charge of Computer Aided Design and drafting Software Installation, Configuration, & Support.  He retired in 2006.

At a young age, Tim enjoyed fishing with his father and as he got older became a member of a local Trap Shooting Club, from which he earned multiple medals of accomplishment, most notably a state championship.

The most important thing in Tim’s life was his family and pridefully considered himself a “soccer dad”.  He attended as many of his kids’ soccer games and traveling tournaments as possible.  He was also a dog-lover and liked to take time to pet every dog he met.

In later years, he enjoyed an independent, simple life listening to various forms of music and playing old school computer games.

Tim is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Kimberly Miley; son, David Miley; grandchildren, Grace Ann, Abbigale Irene, and Henry Carlyle; sister and brother-in-law, Beth Anne and William Dunn; and former spouses, Joy Miley, the mother of his children, and Cindy Kikeli, his best friend since childhood.

A gathering of friends and family will be held one hour prior to services from 10-11 AM, Saturday, February 3, 2024 at St. Lukes Episcopal Church 107 E. Broadway Street, Granville, Ohio 43023 where a memorial service will begin at 11 AM Saturday with Father Michael Tigner officiating.
