Vera L. Blaha a talented and artistic baker, gardener, and steadfast Farmers Market vendor passed away November 1, 2021 at her home in Newark at the age of 74. She was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil to the late Vladislav and Lotte (Kuklinski) Blaha.
A member of the Newark Maennerchor, Vera embraced her German heritage and was known for her strudels and jams. She had previously used her artistic ability in the hair and beauty industry. She loved animals and provided a home to many throughout her life.
Surviving are her brother, Dr. Rene V. Blaha; Nieces, Silvia Blaha and Vivette Blaha; nephew, Michael Blaha and his wife Jill; great niece and nephews, Michael, Connor, Christl, Reese, and KC; six feline and one canine companion.
In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Christine Blaha.
A graveside celebration of life will be held at noon on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.
