VIOLET "VI" LOUISE PAXSON

A memorial service for Violet Louise Paxson, 87, of Granville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2007 at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 309 W. Broadway, Granville, with Pastor Daniel Ruff officiating. A private graveside service will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, Granville.
Mrs. Paxson, a loving mother and grandmother, died July 5, 2007, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born Feb. 11, 1920, in Bay City, Mich., to the late Frank and Minnie (Brandt) Dean. Violet was member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Pilgrim Lutheran Guild and the Granville Lions Club where she was presented the Melvin Jones Fellow Award for her dedicated service to humanity. She also served as house mother for Tri-Delta Sorority at Denison University for 11 years.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Jeraldine A. and Steven E. Finlayson of Granville; grandchildren, Steven D. (Patty) Campbell of Columbus, Tiffany D. (Edward) Christianson of Orangeville, Utah, Brady D. Campbell of Granville; Paul D.(Jill) Campbell of Okinawa, Japan, Alison D. Bergstrom (Mark) of Huntersville, NC, Sara E. Finlayson of Falls Church, VA, and Kate N. Finlayson of Provo,Utah; great-grandchildren, Holly, Lindsey, Alex and Collin Campbell, Hayden, Danielle, Riley and Thomas Christianson, Emily, Brandon, and Nathan Campbell, and Victoria and Abigal Bergstrom.
In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Avery Paxson and one sister.
