William Mcfeggan

d. August 8, 2015

One block from Wrigley Field, in 1942, another Cub’s fan was born, William McFeggan. Bill remained a life-long baseball fan and would later add the Anaheim Angels to his list of favorites, after being stationed in California with the U.S. Navy. It was there that he met his future wife of 52 years, Karen K. Allen McFeggan.

After serving in the Navy and earning a degree in physics from New Mexico State University, Bill was hired by Rockwell as an electrical engineer. He was employed there for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He passed away August 8, 2015 at Our Family Home in Columbus, Ohio.

Bill will be remembered as a quiet man who was a good listener and loved people. Often described as a gentle giant, his stature was only overshadowed by his good nature and love of his family. He enjoyed traveling, reading, and dancing with his wife.

In addition to his wife, surviving are his children and their spouses, Tammra McFeggan, Christine and John Costner, and William and Kristy McFeggan, III; grandchildren, Erika and Shawn McFeggan; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Don Armentrout; brothers, Thomas and Michael McFeggan; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Central Ohio Alzeheimer's Association, 1379 Dublin Road Columbus, OH 43215 or Tridia Hospice, 2215 City Gate Drive, Suite E, Columbus, OH 43219.

Per Bill's request, there will be a private family service only. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mcpeekhoekstra.com.
