William R. O'Morrow died August 20, 2011 at home with his family by his side. He was born March 30, 1929 in Buffalo, Ohio to the late Harry and Vesta (LaFollette) O'Morrow.
A retired customer service supervisor for the City of Columbus Division of Electric, Bill served in the Army during WWII in Japan. He was a member of Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church where he served as a Stephen Minister, Past Master of Eastgate Lodge F.& A.M., now Sunrise Lodge, and Past Patron of R.T. King O.E.S. He also enjoyed hunting, golfing, and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
Surviving are his son, Charles O'Morrow; daughter, Melissa (Dr. John) Novotny; grandchildren, Christine, Lucia, Colleen, and Rachel O'Morrow, and Nicholas and Olivia Novotny; and great-granddaughter, Audrey.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Joan (DeVore) O'Morrow who died August 30, 2007; one brother and one sister.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23rd at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, 1636 Graham Rd. with Pastor Maxine Smith-Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
